The G\u00e9rard-D. Levesque foundation was created in 1993 to offer financial support to students from the Gasp\u00e9 and Magdalen Islands, engaged in graduate studies.<\/h3>\n

The G\u00e9rard-D. Levesque foundation was created in 1993 to offer financial support to students from the Gasp\u00e9 and Magdalen Islands, engaged in graduate studies.
\nSince its inception, the foundation has expanded its mandate to include all post secondary students, and to help young people from the region access higher education. In collaboration with the government of Quebec, the G\u00e9rard-D. Levesque foundation, the Gasp\u00e9sie\u2013Les \u00celes community foundation, and the Youth Commission, the G\u00e9rard-D. How to obtain a scholarship<\/h2>\n

Levesque scholarship rewards students from the region based on their academic standing, their community engagement and their commitment to their studies.<\/p>\n

The scholarship encourages students to continue their education in a field that will help develop their community, and encourages them to return and stay in the Gasp\u00e9 and Magdalen Islands.
